Enamel is a suspension of aluminum powder (or paste) in epoxy phenol lacquer.
Enamel is intended for cans inner coating of white and chromed sheet metal and covers to them and also for covers for glass tare for tinned food with acid and protein environment (meat, fish, green peas, etc.)It is coated with rolling method or by spraying with consumption for one layer according to solid residual – 6-8 g/m2, polymerization time at t° = 210-215°Ñ no more than 15 minutes.
Technical characteristics
1. Appearance of the enamel
Homogeneous non-transparent substance of grey color.
2. Appearance of the film
After drying the enamel becomes flat glossy film of silver-grey without extraneous mechanical impurities.
3. Viscosity by viscometer VZ-246 with nozzle diameter 4 mm (VZ-4) at t° = 20,0±0,5îÑ: 100-150 seconds.
4. Mass concentration of nonvolatile substance: 38-45%
5. Dry time to degree 3 at t° = 210-215°Ñ: no more than 15 minutes.
6. Film strength at stamping: without damages of coating strength
7. Film capability to sterilization at t° = 120±2°Ñ, per hour, no less than:
in distilled water -1
in sodium chloride brine solution (3,0±0,1)% -1
in protein liquid -1
in tartaric acid solution (0,5±0,05)% and in sodium chloride brine solution (2,0±0,1)% -1
8. Film adhesion before and after sterilization, points, no more than: 11
9. Mass concentration of chemical substances in solution, mg/dm3, no more than:
Formaldehyde - 0,1
Phenol - 0,05
Diphenyl propane - 0,01
Epichlorhydrin - 0,1
No lead salts and zinc.
10. No porosity.
11. Enamel film capability to model environment effect after sterilization and isolation in thermostat at t° = 40±2°Ñ: 10 days.
