Enamel is an epoxy phenol lacquer pigmented with dioxide titanium. 

Enamel is intended for coating split can tare inner surface, end pieces, sheet cans and covers made of white sheet of electrolytic and hot-dig tinning and chromed sheet.

It is coated with rolling method. After polymerization with consumption for one layer according to solid residual – 6-8 g/m2 at t° = 210-215°Ñ within no more than 15 minutes, gets flat plain coated surface of light-yellow color, steady to chemical environment.

Technical characteristics
1. Appearance of the enamel
 Homogeneous white mixture.
2. Appearance of the film
After drying the enamel becomes plain and flat surface of light-yellow color.
3. Viscosity by viscometer VZ-246 (VZ-4) with nozzle diameter 4 mm at t° = 20,0±0,5°Ñ: 100-180 seconds.
4. Mass concentration of nonvolatile substance: 42-50%
5. Enamel grinding degree according to Klyn device (grindometer) with A method: no more than 10 mkm.
6. Drying time to 3 degree at t° = 210-215°Ñ: no more than 15 minutes.
7. Film strength at stamping: without damages of coating continuity
8. Film capacity for sterilization at t° = 120±2°Ñ, per hour, no less than:
in distilled water - 1
in sodium chloride brine solution (3,0±0,1)% - 1
in tartaric acid (2,0±0,1)% - 1
in acetic acid solution (3,0±0,1)% (tinned steel sheet) - 1
in protein substance - 1
in acetic acid solution (0,5±0,05)% and sodium chloride brine solution (2,0±0,1)% (for chromed sheet) - 1

9. Film adhesion before and after sterilization, points, no more than: 11
10. Mass concentration of chemical substances in solution, containing acetic acid (0,5±0,05)% and sodium chloride brine (2,0±0,1)% after sterilization of plates with enamel film and isolation in model environment during 24 hours at t° = (40+2)°Ñ, mg/dmÇ, no more than:

Formaldehyde - 0,1
Phenol - 0,05
Diphenyl propane - 0,01
Epichlorohydrin - 0,1
Epichlorohydrin (for baby food) - 0,01
No lead salts

11. No porosity
12. Capacity of enamel film to resist model environment effect after sterilization and isolation at t° = (40±2)°Ñ: 10 days.
