Type of production
Primary product of phenol condensation with formaldehyde together with caustic soda catalyzer.
Range of application
It is applied in production of heat insulting products based on mineral cotton, glass fibre and other items.
Appearance
Transparent substance from light-brown to dark-cherry color.
Technical characteristics
Solubility in distilled water at tº = +20ºÑ at shipping no less – within warranty. The solution should be transparent while dilution of phenol alcohol in accordance with 1:10 1:3
Mass concentration of nonvolatile substance, %, (solid residue) 48-53
Mass free phenol concentration, %, no more than 3,5
Mass alkali concentration, % no more than 1,4
Mass free formaldehyde concentration, %, no more than 4,5
Safety measures
The substance is toxic, hardly flammable. Ventilation is needed while working with liquid bakelite, skin protection, respiratory organs, eyes.
Storage conditions
It is kept in closed ventilated room, in closed tare at tº +5ºÑ - +20ºÑ. Alcohols the enterprise gets should be poured into tank, thoroughly cleaned from previous phenol alcohols party remnants or any other products.
Warranty keeping time
It is kept for 2 months since due time in closed tare at tº = +5ºÑ - +20ºÑ following keeping conditions. When phenol alcohol are frozen and when they are thawed out – properties of the product save, if temperature of heat-carrier being heated with force not higher than +60ºÑ, and the temperature in mass of phenol alcohols is not higher than +20ºC
